Recipe: Ginger Biscuits

Making ginger biscuits.

Ingredients.

75g – Soft Margarine

100g – P. flour

40g – Caster Sugar

15ml – Syrup

2.5ml sp – Bicarbonate of Soda

5ml sp – Ginger

2.5ml sp – Cinnamon

Method.

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 180°C or to Gas Mark 4. Grease baking tray.
  2. Sieve flour, ginger, cinnamon and bicarbonate of soda onto a plate.
  3. Cream the margarine, sugar and syrup together using a wooden spoon or electric mixer.
  4. Stir in the dry ingredients and work until mixture comes together.
  5. Shape into 12 rounds. Place onto the baking tray and flatten gently with a fork.
  6. Bake for approx 15-20 minutes until it is golden brown.
  7. Allow to cool on a cooling wire.
