Cooking Without Mom: Black & White Cookies

A healthy and tasty dish of cookies that are super easy to make!

Ingredients

  • 165mL flour
  • 40mL cocoa
  • 1mL baking soda
  • dash of salt
  • 75mL brown sugar
  • 60mL white sugar
  • 75mL margarine, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 3mL vanilla
  • 75mL chocolate chips
  • 75mL white chocolate chips

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F. Check that oven racks are in the middle.
  2. Stir together flour, baking soda, salt, and cocoa. Set aside.
  3. In large mixing bowl, cream together margarine, brown sugar and white sugar.
  4. Mix in egg and vanilla until well blended
  5. Add flour mixture 1/2 at a time until blended.
  6. Mix in chocolate and white chocolate chips with wooden spoon.
  7. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheet.
  8. Bake 8-10 minutes or until the centre feels slightly firm when touched
  9. Cool on a cooling rack.
