Here is the lowdown on celery seed extract and some things you should know about it before you take it.

Celery seed extract is a centuries old supplement for arthritic, urinary and rheumatic conditions. Doctor James A Duke takes celery seed ever day to avoid gout. He has been using it for that for several years and it works as well as a couple decaded of antigout medicines.

Celery seed is also believed to lower blood pressure and used as a diuretic and antispasmodic and there are even some under the bleief it can be used as a tranquilizer.

The seeds of the celery are the most important part of the plant celery. Most people can take the celery seed extract but you should ask your doctor first, I will give a few types of people who shouldn’t take it People who have an inflammation of the kidneys, those women who are present shouldn’t take it because it can cause the uterus to bleed and the uterus to contract too early before it is possible for the baby to be able to live if it were born. Because who knows you might get uterine contractions in the 6th week of pregnancy. Also, people who take blood thinners as celery seed is a natural blood thinner that will prevent you from getting a blood clot and having a stroke or heart attack, but NEVER take celery seed along with a prescription blood thinner or aspirin which is in itself a blood thinner. And never take it if you are on a diuretic because celery seed extract is a natural diuretic itself and you can get dehydrated.

The celery seeds of celery seed extract are small brown thigs, but be sure to buy them from your health food store because if you just buy the seeds to grow celery, they may look alike, but you could get poisoned because the seeds may have been treated with chemicals that could be poisonous or fertilizer or pesticides.

It is believed to remove wastes from your liver and kidneys.

Celery seed extract comes in the form of a capsule or tincture.

You also have to be very careful when taking this so that you don’t get a heat stroke because celery seed extract makes you extra sensitive to the sun.

It also contains atioxidants called flavonoids that are called flavonoids. These will keep your body protected from free radicals.

It has omega 6 fatty acids which helps in circulation.
