Put peeled beetroot and potato in cooker and place it on the oven and heat. After seven minutes, take out the beet and potato. Peel potato and grind it into a paste. Grate beetroot.

Pour a little oil in a frying pan and heat it. When it is hot add aniseed, paste of ginger and garlic, green chilly and onion into oil and fry them until they become golden. Then add grated beetroot and cook till the water content in the beet dries. Then add the boiled potato paste, garam masala, half of the flour and salt and mix them. Stop heating after one or two minutes. Then add rusk powder and fenugreek powder and mix them all well. Now a thick batter is ready for making cutlets. Shape it into small balls in your palm and press the balls a little to get a flattened cake. Dip the cakes in the remaining rusk powder and flour and apply on both sides. That sounds like a tasty recipe. We used to grow beetroot and there is nothing like it when it has just been cooked.
