Bailey’s Restaurant
A review of Bailey’s Restaurant in the Honest Lawyer at Croxdale, County Durham.
BAILEY’S RESTAURANT.
BAILEY’S Restaurant in the Honest Lawyer at Croxdale, Co Durham is an establishment which serves seasonal British food using mainly local produce and the menu is changed regularly. It has a light and airy contemporary feel. The plush purple and pink velvet seating is mixed with light oak tables, striped red chairs and there is a deep red carpet. The serving team are helpful, attentive and they do communicate.
O started with a rabbit rillettes, ham hock and pistachio terrine with blackberry and fig chutney while my spouse opted for the twice-baked applewood and leek souffle.
The duck leg, tomato and mixed bean cassoulet with fried duck egg and parsnip crisps was delicious. Anne had the 10-oz rib-eye steak, served with flat-cap mushrooms, slow-roasted tomatoes and really thick chips.
The restaurant is open from 18:30 to 21:30 on Mondays to Saturdays and noon until 20:30 on Sundays. Both the restaurant and the toilets are on the ground floor, so that it is fully accessible to disabled diners and there is a wheelchair ramp in reception.
