Beef Cutlets in Bread Crumbs -Anglo Style

Beef cutlets -An angloindian favourite and world famous, great to have at all times even during an evening snack!

Beef Cutlets –Angloindian style

 

Main Ingredients: 

½ kg beef (Cow meat)

½ kg potatoes

½ cup ginger/garlic paste

3 large onions –chopped finely

5 green chillies –chopped finely

1 inch ginger chopped finely

A pinch of turmeric powder

1 tsp pepper powder

1 egg

1 lime

Breadcrumbs

A bunch of fresh coriander leaves

Oil for frying

Salt to taste

 

Method of preparation: 

Firstly, place potatoes with water, a little salt and turmeric powder and cook, ensure they are soft and mashed well. 

On the other hand cook beef with salt and ginger/garlic paste till done.

Heat oil and fry onions till brown, add green chillies, ginger and coriander leaves well. Add the beef and pepper, sauté for some time. Remove and allow cooling –Place in blender and grind dry –Mix all ingredients with mashed potatoes, add lime juice and mix well. Allow to cool – make hand shaped cutlets and roll in egg and bread crumbs, deep fry in oil till brown and cooked. 

Beef cutlets is ready to serve –Goes well with French loaf, steamed rice and other side dished –wonderful item !
