Best Food to Bring to Work
How to resist the temptation of unhealthy foods at work.
If you work in an office which is crowded, like many offices are today, chances are that you will have problems maintaining your healthy diet. You will be tempted by your co-workers who are bringing in delicious treats all the time. Most of them will be loaded with sugar, fats and a lot of calories. Even though you might think you will be able to hold out, by the time your work day comes to an end, your energy levels will likely be on the decline. Resisting temptation in such working environment might be extremely difficult.
So what can you do in order to ensure that your healthy lifestyle won’t be affected by these constant temptations to the senses? The most important thing you can do is have some healthy snacks nearby. My favorite foods that I regularly bring to work are apples and carrots. Apples, have high concentration of polyphenols – substances that belong to the class of antioxidants and support the health of the heart and circulatory system. Carrots are an excellent source of vitamin A and help improve the condition of the eyes.
Even more useful is having some home made apple and carrot juice on hand. These juices will instantly improve the energy levels of you organism and will provide nutrients that will nourish your entire body and help you make it through the work day without falling asleep or being tempted to reach for some unhealthy instant food.
