A great starter recipe.

Ingredients:

Bread – 1 pack

Aloo – 2

Onions – 2 small sized finely chopped

Green Chilli (finely chopped) – 1 teaspoon

Coriander leaves (finely chopped) – 1 tablespoon

Pudina leaves (finely chopped) – 1 tablespoon(optional)

Garam masala – 2 small pinches

Cumin powder – 1 small pinch (optional)

Lemon – 1

Salt – to taste

Method:

1. Boil potatoes, peel off the skin and mash well.

2. Add chopped onions, green chillies, coriander leaves, pudina leaves, garam masala, cumin powder (optional) and needed salt to the mashed potatoes and mix well.

3. Squeeze a small sized lemon over the mixture. Mix well.

4. Make small smooth balls from the mixture and keep aside.

5. Take a bread piece, Cut the brown crusted corners, dip both sides of the bread in water for a second, squeeze it well between the palms.

6. Keep one potato ball inside the squeezed bread and cover well to make a smooth round or oval shaped kachoris.

7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 for all the potato balls.

8. Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the bread kachoris until golden brown on all sides.

9. Serve the hot bread kachoris with tomato sauce or tomato chilli sauce.

Note :

1. Keep the flame medium while frying for best results.

2. Sandwich bread can be used in place of normal bread.

3. Try using fresh bread instead of refrigerated one.
