Chilled Pear Compote Recipe

This is a great dessert-like appetizer to serve at parties. Fruit is the perfect light dessert to any rich meal. Serve this chilled pear compote recipe at your family gatherings or parties.

Ingredients:

  • 3 Cans of canned Bartlett Pears sliced
  • 2 cans canned pineapple cubed
  • 1 can canned mandarin oranges segmented
  • 2 cups maraschino cherries halved
  • 2 tbsp lemon crystals

Method;

Drain fruits, reserving syrup. Combine all fruits. Combine 2 quarts pear syrup 1 quart pineapple syrup and all orange and cherry syrups. Stir in lemon crystals. Pour syrup mixture over fruit. Refrigerate. To serve portion 5 ounces chilled syruped fruits into each compote.
