Christmas Mustard and Honey Vegetables
The combination of Mustard and Honey are good for a root vegetable glaze. An ideal recipe for Christmas.
The three ideal vegetables for this dish are Carrot, Parsnip and Swede. It is a good dish to serve with the Christmas meal. It is suitable for Turkey, Chicken, Beef or Pork and is a tasty dish for vegetarians to enjoy.

To serve 6-8 people you will need:
1.5 lb (750g) Carrots
1.5 lb (750g) Swede
1.5 lb (750g) Parsnips
6 Tablespoons of Honey
3 Tablespoons wholegrain mustard
Salt and Pepper (fresh ground black) to taste

Slice all three vegetables into chunky finger length, styles. Onions could be added in chunks if desired but they can overpower the flavour, it is down to personal taste.
Part boil the vegetables for approximately 20 minutes until just tender. Drain well and place back into the pan and put to one side.
In a separate pan warm the honey until it is runny, stir in the mustard and seasoning. Put the vegetables into the pan and stir until coated well. Layer into a serving dish and serve or keep warm until ready to serve.
The mustard and black pepper grains in the honey sauce will add to the decoration for this dish.

Hmm..yummy..looks and no doubt tastes divine with any festive meat
