Eat to Lower Cholesterol
The cholesterol story began in 1951 when the pentagon sent pathologists to Korea to study the bodies of servicemen who lost their lives to the war. A waxy substance was found in the bodies identified as a major contributor to the buildup of plaque. Before that we knew nothing about cholesterol. Well, now we do, and there is a lot we can do about it.There are many foods and herbs that will lower cholesterol. If your cholesterol is higher than you like, try these foods listed below. you can mix and match to make tasty healthful meals. These food eaten daily will get your numbers down where you want them. For Lunch:
Soup made with beans, onions, carrots, garlic, barley, plus other spices to taste.
Whole wheat topped off with any nut butter, no oils or margarine.

Burrito made with refried beans, salsa, rice, wrapped in a whole grain tortilla or
