Frosted Fruit Salad Plus Frosting Recipe

Here is a yummy gelatin salad you can take to a picnic this summer. Might be nice for your labor day picnic. THis would also be good for a pot luck party or if you have to take a dessert somewhere.

21 (3 oz) package lemon gelatin

1 (3 oz) package that orange gelatin

Juice of 1 lemon

2 cups boiling water

2 cups cold water

2 bananas diced

1 no 2 can crushed pineapple, drained

1 cup miniature marshmallows

Dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Add cold water and lemon juice. Chill and partly set. Fold in pineapple, marshmallows, and bananas. Pour into a 9×12x3 inch loaf pan. Chill until set. When gelatin is firm frost with frosting.

FROSTING RECIPE

2 Tablespoon flour

1/2 cup sugar

1 egg beaten

1/2 cup milk

1 cup pineapple juice

1 cup heavy cream whipped

Combine flour and sugar. Slowly stir in egg and milk. Stir in pineapple if juice. Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened. Cool. Fold in cream that is whipped
