Fruit Pizza

Thought pizza had to be an unhealthy splurge? Think again! This fresh recipe is easy on the waste line and packed full of vitamins. Keep in mind, any of the fruits can easily be interchanged with your own favorite fruits.

Crust Ingredients:
- 1 pound of pizza dough (homemade or prepackaged)
- 1 tbsp of melted butter
- 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
Frosting Ingredients:
- 1 (8 oz) package of cream cheese
- ¼ cup of sugar
- ½ tsp of lemon zest
- ½ tsp of orange zest
- ½ tsp of almond extract
Topping:
*Wash, peel, and slice all fruits.
- 14 strawberries
- 3 kiwis
- 25 blueberries
- 3 grapes
- ½ banana
- 9 mandarin orange slices
- 12 raspberries
* You can exchange fruits or use less or more of certain fruits.
Method:
- Heat oven to 400 degrees.
- Spread dough on an un-greased 12 inch pizza pan. Brush butter on dough and sprinkle with brown sugar.
- Bake crust according to package directions until it is golden brown.
- Allow crust to completely cool.
- Combine all frosting ingredients in a medium bowl until smooth.
- Spread the frosting over cooled crust.
- Place fruits in a single layer around crust.
