Hot Dogs and Beans for a Quick Meal

published by chippers on Jan 20, 2010

This is a quick and cheap meal especially good for children but I have found many adults like it just as well.

Take a package of hot dogs and cut them up into smaller pieces. Open a can of pork and beans. I would suggest a large can because the juice is going to be needed. Put this all in a fairly large pan. I like to chop onion up and put into mine. Also add about three tablespoons of brown sugar to the pan and stir things up good. Now turn your heat down and cook gently for at least half an hour or longer if possible.  We always have to have a big skillet of fried potatoes and onions and a big dish of cornbread. Have a large glass of milk nearby. Happy eating.
