How to Make – Almond Tofu (15 Mins -125 Kcal)

This is a tutorial on how to make Almond tofu – which takes 15 mins to make and has 125 kcal’s – A refreshing,authentic chinese almond tofu dessert.

ingredients – serving 4

20g almond powder

60g sugar

300ml milk

4g agar-agar powder

300ml water

1 apricot (tinned in syrup)

60ml syrup from tin

utensils – (essential)

kitchen scales

measuring jugs

measuring spoons


choppinh board

kitchen knife


  • firstly, repare the saucepan
  • then, put 300ml of water and 4g of agar-agar powder into the saucepan
  • mix gently over a LOW HEAT. once the agar-agar powder has fully dissolved, turn off the heat and remove the pan from the hob

  • secondly, prepare mixing bowl
  • put 20g of almond powder and 50g of sugar into a mixing bowl
  • add 300ml of milk and mix it in thorughly

  • add the mixture of milk,sugar and almond powder to the dissolved agar-agar in the saucepan
  • put the saucepan over a LOW HEAT
  • keep the saucepan over a low heat, then just before it boils remove it from the hob and turn off the heat
  • then, prepare the tea strainer and mixing bowl
  • strain the dissolved agar-agar mixture through the strainer into the bowl
  • prepare small bowls (1 pp) and cling film
  • pour the agar-agar mix into the bowls allow it to cool before covering it with cling film
  • put the bowls in the fridge to set for AROUND 25 MIN 

  • prepare chopping board and kitchen knife
  • thinly slice the tinned apricots
  • without removing it from the bowls, slice the almond tofu with a number of diagonal cut
  • pour the syrup from the tinned apricots over the almond tofu
  • garnish with the sliced apricot and enjoy your desert

the time it takes for the dessert to chill and set in the refrigerator is not included in the indicated cooking time
dissolve the agar powder over a gentle heat
