How to Prepare Potato Onion Curry?

Ingredients:

  • Mustard (1 tables spoon)
  • Edible oil (sunflower oil, ground nut oil etc.)
  • Salt
  • Onion (2)
  • Potato (2)
  • Tomato gravy (1 tomato)
  • Chili powder

Method of preparation:

  • Chop onions and potato to small pieces and keep them separately.
  • Use oil for frying and add mustard initially for frying.
  • Add onion and fry them for 2-3 minutes until they appear brown in color.
  • Now add salt as per your requirement of taste and chili powder.
  • Add tomato gravy and mix the ingredient to avoid it sticking to the pan.
  • Add potato to the fried mixture and further mix it properly.
  • Add water to cook the raw potato.
  • Close the container with low level of flame to boil the potatoes and other mixture.
  • Let the mixture cook for about 15 minutes.
  • Now open the container and check the softness of potatoes in the curry.
  • Taste the gravy of the curry to add salt or chili powder if required.
  • Serve with bread or rice for lunch or dinner.
