Ironbutts’ Poetry Cook book: Suntanned Dogs and Sweet Potato

 Hey y’all come on in,

got my hands full right now, just about to begin.

Sliced up some hot dogs right over there,

going fry them up, can you put that skillet here.

Now we add some pepper and garlic herb,

little brown sugar, now that is superb.

We need to slice up an onion and bell pepper too,

you know they’re friends, them two.

Going to splash just a tat of my special wine,

let them sizzle there for awhile.

I knew you all was a coming so I put the potatoes on,

let me check them , they should be done.

Hm mm, yep they are a looking good,

grab the silver ware and an extra stool!

Now I know we are going to need a side dish,

that’s why I sliced up these fresh tomatoes just for this.
