Italian Meat Sauce for Spaghetti

In 1/4 cup of oil, brown 2 cloves garlic and 1 1/2 pounds ground beef.
ADD:
1 large can tomatoes
1 8-ounce can tomato sauce
1 6 ounce can tomato paste, simmer
Spice with:
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 bay leaf
1 tablespoon basil
In last 15 minutes add 1/2 cup mushrooms. The longer you let it sit the better.
