Java Blend Dry Rub

Start to finish: 10 min.
Makes about: one 1/2 c.

1/2 c. packed dark or light brown sugar

1/4 c. ancho chili powder

1/3 c. finely ground espresso (not instant)

2 tbsp. garlic powder

1 tbsp. onion powder

1/2 tsp. cinnamon

1 tbsp. coarse sea salt

1 tbsp. black peppercorns

Combine all ingredients in spice mill or blender & grind in coarse powder.  Store in clean, airtight container.  Store in freezer for 3-4 mos.
