Judge My Dinner #4
The,’Judge My Dinner #4,’ dinner is now officially up for judging. This recipe has an apple of a surprise.
The day I made this recipe I knew I felt creative. I knew I wanted to make sweet potatoes. I knew I needed to find that one special ingredient that would make my sweet potatoes melt in my family’s mouth. I wanted them to remember it whenever they thought of sweet potatoes.
The special ingredient I used was apples. I remembered that a lot of great recipes had fruit in them. People like Pineapples on ham. Why not apples on sweet potatoes?
Yes these ingredients alone can make one smack their lips but I have a few more to add to make it complete. Here are the ingredients that you’ll need.
: Pork Chops (4 is what I usually use)
: 3-4 Sweet potatoes
: 2 Regular potatoes
: 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
: 2-3 Apples
: 1/2 stick of butter
You simply start out preparing the pork chops. I didn’t fry them in flour. I just cooked then slowly until they were almost done.
Then I chopped up both types of potatoes. I then rinsed them off and put them on a plate and put them in the microwave. You may want to pierce those potatoes with a sharp knife before cooking. This helps them cook faster. Then, place a paper plate or a paper towel on top of the potatoes. It helps them turn out moist. Microwave them on high for around eight minutes.
All you need to do now is cut them up over the top of the porkchops. Then, sprinkle the brown sugar over the top of the sliced potatos. Now, just slice your butter on top of this great dish.
This creative meal was turning out great. The scent from the apples filled the kitchen air. I knew I wanted to light an apple scented candle to top it off.
Now, for people who can’t eat meat, this recipe will taste great without the pork chops.
Here are a few other tips to remember.
: If you can’t have sugar, think about using Stevie. It’s natural.
: Add more apples if you can’t eat meat.
: If brown sugar is too sweet, you can buy a brown sugar substitute.
Time to vote everyone. Like it or not!

Is something missing? I got to the part where the potatoes were cooking, and the next para said the apples smell great?? Where is the rest of the recipe, or did my computer eat it before I could read it???
Confused, the other commenters seemed to get it, or didn’t even read it!

That sounds pretty good. I haven’t heard of sweet potatoes with pork chops, but that sounds pretty good. I also liked the haiku that went along with this recipe. It is the perfect haiku for this time of year.
