Mashed Sweet Potatoes with Honey and Cinnamon

This is an easy and delicious mashed sweet potatoes recipe that’s great for Thanksgiving or any other time! Instead of using marshmallows, I use honey and spices to give the mashed sweet potatoes a luxurious flavor.
INGREDIENTS
4 medium sweet potatoes
2 Tbsp butter
3 Tbsp buttermilk
1 Tbsp honey
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
Pinch of salt
METHOD
1. Peel and cube the sweet potatoes. Cook in boiling water until tender, but not mushy. Let cool.
2. When the sweet potatoes have cooled, mash them until they begin to get soft.
3. Add in the butter, buttermilk, honey and spices until thoroughly blended.
4. Serve in a casserole dish. Sprinkle extra cinnamon over the top, if desired.
