Ingredients

4-6 medium cooking apples

1/2 c. water

1/2-3/4 c. sugar

1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Method

Peel, core and slice the apples. Place apples in a 1 1/2-quart microwave safe dish and add the water. Cover the dish with plastic wrap. Microwave on High for 10 minutes, or until apples are tender. Stir after 5 minutes. Remove from microwave, add the sugar and cinnamon to apples. Using an electric hand mixer on Low, mash the apples until they are of the texture that you desire.
