Mother Mary’s Traditional Bread and Potato Stuffing
This is an old recipe for the traditional bread and potato stuffing. Very delicious!
Mother Mary’s Traditional Bread And Potato Stuffing.
- 6 slices of dried, homemade white bread
- 1/4 cup butter
- 2 cups mashed potato, cooled
- 2 tablespoon of summer savory
- 2 teaspoons of salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 chicken stock or water.
- Melt butter in a large skillet. Fry the onion, add salt & pepper.
- In a large bowl break up the bread slices into little cubes.
- Add mashed potato.
- Now mix with hands until your are able to shape into balls.
- Bake in a 400 degree oven for approximately 15 minutes or until brown.
