Mummu’s Old Fashioned Meat Balls and Gravy

A Wonderful Week Night Dinner.
One Of Our Favorites.

You will need;

1 lb of lean ground beef

1/2 minced onion

1 egg

1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg

1/2 teaspoon of parlsey flakes

1/2 teaspoon of sage

1/4 cup of breadcrumbs

salt and pepper to taste

mix together in a bowl then;

form into 2 1/2 inch balls

roll in flour.

In a saucepan saute 1/2 cup of fresh mushrooms chopped and

2 slices of bacon

when the bacon is cooked add the meatballs and cook until browned

simmer with a lid until meatballs are cooked through

remove from pan and place on a plate

add a tablespoon of butter to pan and two tablespoons of flour

simmer on low heat stirring constantly

then add 1 cup of water or vegetable broth to pan

and simmer until thickened add 1 tablespoon of cold tea for colour

and put the meatballs back in the gravy add 1sp of steak sauce to the pan

simmer for 20 minutes.

serve with mashed potatoes and peas
