Review of Green Giant Seasoned Steamers Honey Dijon Carrots

published by Steve H. on Sep 19, 2012

We bought this product for $2.38. Read to find out what I thought of it.

Product Description: Bag of honey Dijon carrots from the Green Giant Seasoned Steamers brand. My wife and I bought this over the weekend for $2.38.

What I liked about this product: Even though I like to cook, there are times when I buy a particular food item just because it is convenient. That was the case with this particular product. All I had to do with it was put the unopened bag in the microwave for 8 minutes and serve. You can’t get any easier than that.

What I didn’t like about this product: Just about everything else. The honey Dijon seasoning not only smelled bad, it wasn’t that great as far as taste either.

Not to mention the carrots seemed to be hard. Not undercooked, just hard for something that should have been fully cooked. There were quite a few in the bag that also looked like they weren’t peeled properly or had some sort of blight on them. That alone didn’t help my appetite for this.

Final Opinion: This product was not worth the money we spent on it. I’m not sure if any of the other varieties from this particular brand are better but I know I won’t buy the honey Dijon carrots again.
