published by outtolunch on Mar 20, 2011

Let your kids have fun making their own decorations rather then buying some, this year for Christmas. Just think of the fun you will have with them and it will be something you will remember and treasure always.

Make you own santa this year with your kids to put out for the holdiays. With this craft you will not only have fun but you will have something to remind you of when they were younger for years to come.

 Ingredients :

 1 pringles can

 Re,black,white, and peach felt

 cotton balls

 small and large pom poms

 flat stick

 black marker

 eyes

 glue and scissors

How to make your santa :

Cover the top part of your can with peach felt by glueing. Cut a hole where you are going to place the arms on your santa on both sides so you can put the stick through. Cover the top part of the stick with peach felt for the hands and glue on.

Wrap white felt above this on the can for Santa’s belt.

Next add some red felt half way around the can with a bit of white coming straight down to finsih off the look of the belt.

Add eyes on your santa and add cotton balls for the face to make the beard. Add a few more over the top of the eyes to make Santa’s hat. Use the bigger pom poms for Santa’s hat. Now use the red felt to make the santa hat. Add a pom pom to the bottom of the hat to finish your santa off.

Wrap red felt around the bottom of your can use a black marker to draw a line down to make it look like your santa is wearing pants.
