Have your ever tried south indian recipes?Here is a simple one.This dish is called “THORAN”.We can make it with different types of vegetables.

Things Needed:

Carrot or cabbage -2 cups(chopped)

Coconut-1/2 cup(grated)

green Chillies-2 or 3

Ginger – a small piece

cumin seeds- 1 tsp

Garlic – 2 pods

Mustard seeds-1/2 tsp

salt- as required

Oil- 2 tbsp

Method of preparation:

First  add oil into a deep pan.When it is hot add mustard seeds.It will pop.Then add curry leaves and the cabbage.Add some salt.Sprinkle some water and close it with a lid.Stir frequently.Crush green chillies,coconut,cumin seeds ,ginger and garlic.When the cabbage is done,put this crushed mixture in the pan and close it with the lid.After 5 minutes,open the pan and stir.Now we can remove this grom the stove and use.This dish is used with rice by South Indians.
