South Indian Recipe Moru Kozhumbu

Called recipe moru kozhumbu in Tamil Nadu and Kachi moru in Malayalam, this great standby lunch preparation can be made as thick or thin as you like. It is the south Indian equivalent of kadhi.
For four person.
Following are ingredients required for preparing,
1. Half coconut grated
2. 250g curd
3. Green chilies
4. Half tablespoon cumin
5. 200g of any one vegetable such as okra, white gourd or colocasia leaves
6. A pinch of turmeric powder
7. One tablespoon mustard seeds
8. One whole red chilly
9. A few curry leaves
10. One tablespoon sesame or coconut oil
Method for preparing is as follows:
In a food processor, pulse together the coconut, green chilies and cumin into a paste. Keep aside. Sauté the okra with minimal turmeric powder till partially cooked, then add a quarter liter of water and cook till done. Whisk the curd till smooth and empty over the vegetable, mixing well. Immediately, add the coconut paste and continue stirring. In a small Kadhai, heat the oil and temper with the mustard seeds, whole red chilly and curry leaves. Pour the oil on the vegetable, bring it to a boil and serve immediately.
