The Simplest Delicious Potato Salad
A simple delicious potato salad that will make a perfect side for dinner or welcome addition at a party or picnic.
I love to eat. Its because of my love to eat that I have a love for cooking. As most of us have, I have gotten all of my favorite dishes and recipes from my mom who would let me cook next to her as she released to me her secret recipes. Here is one of my absolute favorites and it so simple to make.
To start get four to five medium sized potatoes. I know what you’re thinking but they’re smaller than the big ones and you’ll know ‘em when you see ‘em. Peel and dice the potatoes, then boil them on the stove.
A tried and true method for determining if your potatoes are finished boiling is to scoop one out with a large spoon then try to cut through it with a fork. If there is any resistance to the fork going through they need to cook a little more. If it cuts right through then they are done cooking and ready to be covered in goodness.
After draining the potatoes place them into the bowl or serving container of your choice and then assemble the rest of the ingredients. You will be needing mayonnaise, yellow mustard, salt, and pepper.
Add 1 cup of mayonnaise directly into the bowl.
On top of the mayo add 1/3 of a cup of the yellow mustard.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Mix the ingredients with the patatoes.
I consider myself to be a student of the “pinch and dab” school of cooking so I rarely measure ingredients unless I absolutely need to so if you feel you need to add less or more mustard or mayo feel free to deviate and make your own wonderful creation of my simple potato salad.
