Gorp Cookies

GORP. Granola, Oats, Raisins, and Peanuts. These cookies bring the taste of gorp into a slightly crunchy, chewy package.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup butter, softened
  • 7 TBS brown sugar
  • 5 TBS crunchy peanut butter
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup all purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 ½ cups steal cut oats
  • ½ cup raisins
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts

Method

Cream butter and sugar. Add peanut butter and egg, mix well. Sift in flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt, stir to combine. Stir in granola. Taste, add more sugar as needed. Stir in oats, raisins, and walnuts. Drop by rounded tablespoons on lined or lightly greased baking sheets. Bake at 350 for about 15 minutes.  Cool on pans for five minutes, then move to wire rack to cool completely.
