Green Banana Pudding
Banana is one of the staple crops found in most Caribbean countries. The Fruit can be eaten riped or cooked if it is green. Many people do not like green bananas. However if they try this delicious banana dessert they are quite likely to have a new out look on eating green bananas.However only few people can make a really delicious banana pudding.
Ingredients
- Dozens green bananas
- 2 cups flour
- 1 1/3 cups sugar
- 1 sachet grace coconut
- 5 cups water
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ cups dried fruits
- ½ tsp nut meg
- 1/8 tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla
- ½ tsp almond
- 2 beaten eggs
- 1 tbsp browning (optional)
- 1tbsp red wine (optional)
- 1 tsp cooking oil.
Method
- Collect all ingredients. Mix milk with water
- Grease tin with oil and set aside
- Grate green bananas in a large bowl
- Add flour, sugar and spice to grated green bananas
- Add dried fruits(raisin, mixed peels , cherries, etc)
- Add dry spices , salt and black pepper
- Mix all dry ingredients well
- Beat eggs with vanilla, and almond
- Add Milk and beaten eggs to the banana mixture.
- Add browning and wine (optional)
- Pour into grease loaf tin and bake for 1 ½- two hours at 350°F.
- Serve with rum or lemon sauce (optional)
