Ingredients

• 2 pkgs. unflavored gelatin
• 1 ¼ cup applesauce
• 2 cups sugar
• 1 tbsp. Vanilla
• 1 cup chopped nuts or non-chocolate candy

Method

1. Soak gelatin in ¼ cup applesauce; set aside.
2. Boil ¾ cup applesauce with 2 cups sugar for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
3. Add jello mix and boil 15 more minutes. Continue to stir.
4. Add vanilla, stir, add nuts, and or candy.
5. Place in pan; let set until firm, overnight if so desired at room temperature.
