Heart Cookies
A sweet cookies which will buy you heart!
Ingredients A
130g plain flour (sifted)
2 tbsp rice flour (sifted)
3/2 tsp baking powder
Ingredients B
125g butter
50g castor sugar
1 egg yolk
1 tsp vanilla essence
Decoration
1/2 egg white
pinch of salt
1/2 tsp vanilla seence
100g icing sugar (sifted)
4 tbsp chopped almonds (for sprinkle)
Method
1. Beat Ingredients B till light and fold in Ingredients A.
2. Knead dough in between 2 sheets of grease-proof paper to 0.5cm thick.
4. Cut dough into heart-shape with cookies cutter. Then transfer cookies onto he greased baking tray.
5. Use a wire whisk. Beat egg white with salt till peak form. Add vanilla essence, icing sugar; continue beating until the mixture hold shape.
6 Drop 1/4 teaspoon of topping on each cookie top. Sprinkle with chopped almonds.
7. Bake at 170 degC for 12 yo 15 minutes.
