Homemade Peach Cobbler

Try this home made peach cobbler recipe. The delicious pastry has scrumptious peaches coated with, cinnamon spice and a sweet maple syrup sauce. Home made peach cobbler is really easy to make in about one hour.

A home made peach cobbler recipe, that has a delectable taste. The rich and fruity peaches, are coated in a deceadent maple syrup sauce, that contains cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and cloves. Then a tasty, batter is poured on top and baked into a delicous, sweet and fruity dessert.

Ingredients

  • 4 large Peaches
  • 6fl oz Maple Syrup
  • 1 teaspoon Nutmeg (Ground)
  • 1 Teaspoon Cinnamon (Ground)
  • 1⁄2 Teaspoon Cloves (Ground)
  • 1⁄2 Teaspoon Ginger (Ground)
  • 8oz Plain Flour (Sifted)
  • 8fl oz Milk
  • 2 Egg Whites

Method

Start by preparing the peaches, remove the seeds and slice them into thick chucks. Don’t forget to pre-heat the oven to 375°F. Then arrange the peaches in a glass dish measuring about 8in in diameter. Mix together the maple syrup with half of the ground nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves and ginger. Then drizzle the mixture over the peaches, making sure that each piece of fruit is well coated. Allow the syrup to stand for 10 to 15 minutes.

In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, milk and egg whites and blend them together. Next pour the batter carefully, over the top of the fruit and sprinkle with the other half of the spices. Bake in the oven uncovered, for 45 to 50 minutes or until the topping is cooked and golden. Serve hot with your favorite cream or ice cream.
