How to Make Peanut Brittle
An all-time favorite tradition. This delightful candy will sure please everyone this season.
As the holidays near,many are exited for all the wonderful traditional Christmas candies the season has to offer.Peanut brittle happens to one of those. This recipe will sure be a hit with whomever you choose to share it with.That is if you do plan to share.Peanut brittle also seems to be a favorite dish at holiday parties or gatherings. This candy will definately satisfy your sweet tooth.This holiday candy is pretty easy to make,and I am sure it will soon be added to your family’s favorites.
Pull Peanut Brittle
You will need:
2 cups sugar
1 cup corn syrup
1 cup water
2 cups raw spanish peanuts
1/2 tsp. salt
2 Tblsp. butter
2 tsp. soda
Heat and stir sugar,corn syrup,and water until dissolved.
Add salt.
Cook to 234 degrees(soft ball)
Add peanuts at 250 degrees
Cook to hard crack (290 degrees)
Quickly stir in butter and soda
Beat to a broth
Pour onto 2 buttered pans.
Spread with a spatula. Cool.
Pull and stretch while still very warm.
