Need some ideas? Here are 5!

The holidays are a busy time!  You need to bring something cute and clever to a party.  Here are five ideas to get you in a festive spirit!

1. The Mobile Sundae Bar:

A stop by the grocery and $15.00 later and you are a winner!  Pick up the following for a crowd favorite!

a. 2 bags of the individual ice cream cups. There are usually 12-15 in each bag. This saves the host from getting out bowls or a scoop!

b. Jar of chocolate or fudge sauce

c. Jar of caramel

d. Jar of something cool like marshmallow cream or strawberry topping

e. 2 cans of whipped cream.  Because everyone loves whipped cream!

f. Can of honey nuts

g. jar of cherries

2. Easy Salad recipe

1 bag of butter lettuce

1 small jar of mandarin oranges, drained

1 cup of honey roasted almonds

1/2 bottle of Red Wine Vinegar Dressing

3. Candy Apple Salad

5 Granny smith apples (cut in bite size pieces)

1 large snickers bar (sliced in smaller than bite sized pieces)

1 cup whipped topping

1/2 cup mayonnaise

Mix, chill and serve YUM!

4. Festive Tortellini Salad

2 cups of cooked cheese tortellini (cool before mixing)

In a bowl mix 1 cup mayonnaise, 1 cup of your favorite salsa, 1 bag (please rinse and dry before adding) of baby spinach. Add 4 slices of cooked bacon (crumble into small pieces).  Stir, then add tortellini and chill.  This looks really festive and tastes great!

5. The Old Cream Cheese Trick

Soften a brick of your favorite cream cheese and place on a nice platter.

Pour small jar of hot pepper jelly or jalapeno jelly over brick.

Serve with crisp sweet ginger crackers.

Spend your time enjoying your dish, not preparing it!
