Homemade Peach Ice Cream
This recipe is intended for a large ice cream maker, and freezes well. It’s not any good for you, peaches aside, but tastes fantastic and is fun for the whole family to make.
Ingredients:
three large, fresh peaches-diced up small or put into a food processor for a few seconds.
32 ounces of heavy whipping cream
1 ½ cups of sugar
Fill the rest of the space left in your ice cream maker with milk.
¼ teaspoon vanilla (optional)
Dice up the peaches after removing the pits and you may put them all or half into a food processor or blender. Set up your ice cream maker, following the manufacturers instructions. Put in heavy whipping cream, vanilla and sugar and lightly whip together, just till the sugar dissolves and the cream starts to froth a bit. Add in a little better than half the peaches. If you blended half, put in those now. Add in the milk till the proper level is reached in your ice cream maker and turn until the ice cream is mostly done (the consistency of a shake). Before you put it into the freezer to finish, lightly mix in the rest of the peaches so they are through out the ice cream. The peaches tend to float to the top if you don’t wait to put them all in, and the large pieces will get caught in some paddles of the ice cream maker.
Peaches are soft enough that even small children can help cut them up with a butter knife, and they can also help with the turning. Get the whole family involved and enjoy a summer peach!

Even better when you can grow your own peaches.

I love peaches, and peach ice cream should be interesting.
