A simple tasty recipe for Vanilla Cake.

Ingredients:

1/2 Cup shortening

1 Cup sugar

2 Cups flour

3 Teaspoons baking powder

2 Eggs

1 Cup milk

1 Tablespoon vanilla Essence

1 Cup nuts, ground (optional)

Method:

Mix the Cream shortening and sugar then add the eggs and beat. 

Add the flour, milk and baking powder. 

Then add vanilla and nuts. 

Place in greased and floured pan.and bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes until top of cake springs back when touched.

Top with Strawberries and whipped cream, or serve with Ice-cream
