Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream

This is such a simple ice cream to make. Ideally you should have an ice cream maker but it’s possible to make it without one. Just put it in a container and stir once an hour until frozen.

Ingredients

  • 250ml milk
  • 250ml single cream
  • 150g plain chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint essence
  • 75g sugar
  • A few drops green food colouring (optional)

Method

Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl and put in a container or ice-cream maker. Remember, ice-cream is much sweeter in its liquid form than in its frozen form, so it’s best to make it a bit too sweet.
