A quick and simple recipe for nectarine tart.
AN extremely simple recipe that requires only three ingredients a hot oven and is ready in 20 minutes.
You will need 500g of ready-made, ready-rolled puff pastry, eight nectarines that have been halved and stoned. And 25g of caster sugar.
The oven should be preheated to gas7/220EC/200EC fan. Roll the pastry further out the fit the size of your largest baking sheet. After placing the pastry on the sheet, score a 2cm rim all round the pastry and scatter the nectarines and sugar over the pastry and bake for about 15 minutes until it is golden and risen. Serve warm with cream of ice cream. This tart is even better if it is served with softly whipped double cream that has been pepped up with a smidgen of vanilla extract and a spoonful of sifted icing sugar.
