Paul’s Vanilla Ice Cream

published by h20ho on May 29, 2012

I make Paul’s Vanilla Ice Cream for a few reasons. It’s easy to make, it tastes good and it doesn’t use heavy cream. Here’s my recipe I hope you enjoy it.

Paul’s Vanilla Ice Cream

I use an ice cream machine to freeze my ice cream.

Ingredients:

  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup table cream
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 1 tbsp. vanilla

Procedure:

  • Beat the eggs and beat in sugar.
  • Mix milk and table cream in a sauce pan and bring almost to a boil. I usually just make table cream (50/50) by mixing whipping cream and whole milk 50 / 50.
  • Beat heated cream into eggs slowly but not too slow.
  • Let the mixture cool and then add whipping cream and vanilla.
  • Freeze in ice cream machine.

This recipe makes just over a quart.

If you make this ice cream please leave a comment and let me know how it turned out. Thanks.

Interesting recipe. I never thought of making my own ice cream. Maybe I should try.
