A traditional sweet dish of Sri Lanka.

Ingredients:

*steamed wheat flour

*sugar

*scraped coconut

*cardamoms

Method:

heat the sugar on the stove, and put the coconut and a few cardamoms into it. cook for 2-3 minutes.

Separately, mix water to the steamed wheat flour and make a dough.

Roll out bits of flour and fill it with the cooked coconut and sugar. Roll it using a banana leaf. Make as many “leweria” as you like and steam them for about 10 minutes.

Delicious leweria is ready!….

    Sounds good but we have no banana leaves.
