A new flavorful recipe for Cream of Wheat and it tastes like Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.

With winter time here, we tend to seek warming foods and with breakfast being the most important meal of the day, a new flavorful recipe for Cream of Wheat has been created. Reese’s Peanut Butter cup lovers and children, especially, will love this peanut buttery and chocolaty tasting cereal.

Hershey’s, Reese Peanut Butter Cup is an all time favorite for many folks and this new Cream of Wheat flavor will leave stomachs content and taste buds delighted.

My family and I love to have a hot breakfast on cold days. But, with busy schedules there never seems to be enough time in the morning to make a filling and nutritious hot breakfast. Hot cereals such as oatmeal, cream of wheat and malt o meal can become boring if eaten daily with the same ingredients leaving our taste buds craving and demanding something flavorful; leading to sugary am snacks.

The following quick and easy recipe will not only leave your taste buds and cravings happy, but your stomach, literally, will be content for hours. This recipe also makes a great anytime snack.

Chocolaty, Peanut Butter Cream of Wheat

Prep Time: about 5 minutes

Cook Time: 1 ½ minutes

Servings: 1

Ingredients:

  • 1 single serving packet of instant Cream of Wheat
  • ½ to 1 teaspoon of Peanut Butter (1 teaspoon is really peanut buttery)
  • 1to 3 tablespoon of Nestle Nesquik chocolate powder (Add to taste: add 1 TBS at a time: I found that 3 TBS is extreme chocolaty flavor)
  • 2/3 cup fat free milk
  • ¼ cup fat free milk (add a little at a time after cooking)
  • (With this recipe you can eliminate the peanut butter if you are just looking for a chocolaty cereal.)

Directions:

  1. In a cereal bowl empty single packet of Cream of Wheat
  2. Add 2/3 cup of Fat Free Milk. (Milk makes it creamier)
  3. Stir slightly, and then place in the microwave.
  4. Cook for 1 minute 30 seconds
  5. Remove from microwave.
  6. Immediately stir in peanut butter (the hot cereal will melt the peanut butter)
  7. Add Nestle Nesquik powder
  8. Stir in up to 1/4 cup Fat Free milk.
  9. For a thicker consistency use less milk and for thinner consistency use more milk. (Thinner cereal is great for on the go! It can be put into a thermos or insulated cup to drink on your way to work or school.)

Now enjoy this very fulfilling breakfast. Your taste buds, stomach and energy level will thank you and you won’t be reaching for the sugary am snack.
