Kids love to help in the kitchen and these no bake chocolate oatmeal cookies is one of those no bake recipes for kids that your kid will definitely want to help with.

Kids love to help mom if she’s fixing up something sweet in the kitchen. No bake recipes for kids give kids an opportunity to not only help mom, but also fix up something themselves. This no bake chocolate oatmeal cookie recipe is just such a recipe. So mom let your kids help with this one or you help them.

Ingredients

1/2-cup milk

2 cups white sugar

1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa

3 tablespoons crunchy peanut butter

1 stick of butter (1/2 cup)

3 cups rolled oats

1-teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

Pour milk into a medium saucepan and add butter, sugar, and cocoa. Boil for 5 minutes without stirring. You want the sugar well dissolved so the cookies won’t have a grainy taste.

Remove the saucepan from the heat and add peanut butter and vanilla extract. Stir in oats a little at a time and mix well. Drop the mixture by teaspoons onto waxed paper and let cool and you’re all done.

This is one of those no bake recipes for kids where the kids can do most of the work. Of course, mom, you will have to do the heating. You don’t want you kids messing with the stove.
