Pancakes, and some ideas for filling them.

These days there are lots of ways to enjoy pancakes .Pancakes can be found ready in a packet from supermarkets or buy a mixture or even can be made from scratch with ingredients you have at home.

A quick recipe of pancakes

Ingredients

2oz plain flour, sifted
pinch of salt
1 large egg
5 fl oz/140ml milk
1oz soft butter

Makes 6 to 8 pancakes.

Preparation time about 25 minutes

Cooking time less than 10 minutes

Method

Put the egg , milk , butter and pinch of salt all in a bowl and mix together when the mixture is mixed start putting some flour at a time so it don’t come with lumps in the mixture. Heat some butter in a saucepan make sure it is hot enough and put some of the mixture in the hot pan just to cover the bottom leave for one minute and turn over ,and leave to cook for some few seconds.

Lemon ,syrup & sugar are the most popular fillers, but pancakes can be more exited and healthy for a snack or desert to enjoy. Here are some ideas of fillers:

Pancakes with ice-cream , dried fruit and nuts.

Pancakes with fresh fruit one type of fruit or fruit salad mashed or cut into little pieces.
