Great for bake sales.

1/2 cup shortening

1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

3/4 cup sugar

1 egg

2 tablespoons milk

1 tsp vanilla

1 1/4 cup flour

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

1 1/4 cup chips

Cream shortening, peanut butter, and sugar.  Add egg, milk and vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to creamed mixture.  Turn onto a lightly floured surface.  Roll into a 16″ x 12″ rectangle.

Melt chocolate chips in microwave, cool slightly.  Spread over dough to within 1/2″ of edges. Tightly roll up jelly roll style starting with the long side.  Wrap in plastic wrap.  Refridgerate up to 30 minutes.  Unwrap and cut into1/4″ slices.  Place on lightly sprayed sheets, bake at 350 degrees for 8 – 10 minutes.  Cool.
