Perfect Rice Krispies Treats
A recipe for Rice Krispies Treats just my mom used to make.
Rice Krispies Treats are a delicious snack or desert that can be made with ingredients most people have on hand and very quickly.
Ingredients
1 large box Kellogs Rice Krispies
1 large container of Fluff
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
cooking spray
Hardware
1 large spaghetti pot
1 wooden spoon
1 9×13 casserole dish
1 plastic sandwhich bag
Directions
Spray a 9×13 casserole dish with cooking spray.
In a large spaghetti pot melt 2 tablespoons butter or margarine on medium heat. Add one container of Fluff and stir until melted. Add Rice Krispies about 2 cups at a time (no need to measure) and stir into Fluff until the desired Fluff/Krispies ratio is attained. Stirring will be tough towards the end.
Quickly dump the mixture into the casarole dish and flatten out to fill. No need to push down with all your might, you just want to work it into all corners.
HINT: Put a plastic sandwich bag over the hand you use to push on the mixture and it’ll keep your hand clean.
Wait 10 minutes for the treats to cool down. Cut with knife to desired size and enjoy! Treats are best slightly warm but cool enough to retain their shape. Still, my wife and I have been known to start eating them within a couple of minutes of coming out of the pot while they are still gooey.
