Blueberry Cream Cheese Pie

The well known recipe for cream cheese pie/cake; prep time about 15 minutes Total time=5 hours but can be cut down if put in the freezer instead of refrigerator. This is a very easy recipe to do and can go a long way depending on how you choose to make it.

INGREDIENTS

  •  Graham Cracker pie crust
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla
  • 1 cup of sour cream
  • 4 eggs
  • 4 packages of 8oz. Philadelphia cream cheese
  • 2 cups of can blueberries

 

DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to 325- bake pie crust for about 10 minutes then let sit.

Filling

Beat together cream cheese, sugar and vanilla until well blended.

Add sour cream and add eggs one at a time.

Pour batter into a big pan with crushed graham cracker pie crust pressed firmly down into it or pour mixture into several pie crusts.

Drop spoonfuls of blueberries over batter cut through batter several times with knife for marble effect.

Bake 45 minutes until center is almost set; cool.

 

Cover and place in refrigerate for at least 4 hours (sometimes its even better to place it in the freezer so it will set better and you won’t have to wait 4 hours before digging in).

You can also change this recipe as much as you like you can’t mess it up.

Examples: you may want to change to pie crust to Oreo or plain pie crust; also you may not like blueberries so try using cherries or even blackberries.

Topping

A good topping I like to use is whipped cream

Many others things that can be done with this recipe; a good idea would be to make mini cream cheese pies for each person by just using a muffin pan or any small round dish or any shape will do.
