Chocolate Pecan Pie

A delicious and yummy dessert treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 deep-dish pie shell, unbaked
  • 3 eggs,
  • 1 c. light corn syrup
  • 1/2 c. granulated sugar
  • 1/2 stick margarine, melted
  • 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
  • 1 c. pecans halves
  • 3/4 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Method

  1. Preheat over to 350 degrees.
  2. Combine the eggs, corn syrup, sugar, margarine and vanilla in a medium-size mixing bowl, stir with a wire whisk. Mix in the pecan halves. 
  3. Sprinkle chocolate chips over bottom of pie shell. Pour pecan mixture into pie shell. 
  4. Bake for 50 to 55 minutes or until knife inserted into center comes out with a little bits of filling attached. 
  5. If pie starts to brown too quickly, cover with foil. 
  6. Cool on wire rack for 2 hours. Refrigerate until ready to serve. (Makes 8 servings)

    I have tried the regular pecan pie recipe before but never added chocolate chips, yum I have to try this , thanks so much!!
