Chocolate Pecan Pie

Ingredients
- 1 deep-dish pie shell, unbaked
- 3 eggs,
- 1 c. light corn syrup
- 1/2 c. granulated sugar
- 1/2 stick margarine, melted
- 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
- 1 c. pecans halves
- 3/4 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
Method
- Preheat over to 350 degrees.
- Combine the eggs, corn syrup, sugar, margarine and vanilla in a medium-size mixing bowl, stir with a wire whisk. Mix in the pecan halves.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips over bottom of pie shell. Pour pecan mixture into pie shell.
- Bake for 50 to 55 minutes or until knife inserted into center comes out with a little bits of filling attached.
- If pie starts to brown too quickly, cover with foil.
- Cool on wire rack for 2 hours. Refrigerate until ready to serve. (Makes 8 servings)

I have tried the regular pecan pie recipe before but never added chocolate chips, yum I have to try this , thanks so much!!
