Having faith like blueberries.

Faith Like Blueberry Pie

The Masterpiece before Whip cream

One day I had plans to eat with my grandparents. As usual, me and grandpa wash up before we walk in the kitchen. We walk in, and you can smell this freshness and sweetness as you enter the room. Grandpa’s eyes lit up like lights on Christmas. He had smelled his pie. He dashes to the fridge and pulls out his fresh blueberry pie. Grandmama had made him a fresh, brand new pie. I don’t blame him for loving grandmama’s pies. These pies consist of cold blueberries, with sweet blueberry filling, a fresh crust, some chilled whip cream, and made with love from grandmama. When he sees that pie, you can’t keep him away!

You already taste that delicious food just by smelling it. Smelling is not an actual tasting sense though, so how do you know how it taste just by smelling it? You have that faith. You didn’t know you had any, did you? Oh yes, your believing it will taste good. Isn’t that how faith is? Just by the smell you can imagine the taste in your mind and it makes you happy. It’s your imagination though, right?

So what’s wrong with having faith in a God I feel everyday? I see Him through nature and the glorious wonders he has left for me to gaze at. I feel his presence as I walk into church, just like I smell that pie as I walk into the kitchen. How hard is it to believe? Just the smell of a blueberry pie, reminds me of how little faith it takes to believe in this big God. I’ve have seen His creations, His works in my life, and the peace He has left for me. I have no question on if God exist. My question is, when do I get to see Him fully? I can’t wait to get to heaven!! And to imagine, all this came to me, from a grandpa and his blueberry pie.
